Keynote Speaking / Leadership

Organizations are built on connections: webs of relationships between people and between people, systems and processes.

We believe that finding the power within yourself to generate and sustain positive connections - to expand, enhance and deepen those relationships that give life to the organization - is the Heart of the Matter for powerful Leadership.

We also believe that Leadership has less to do with your position in the organization than with your willingness to act like a leader when appropriate –to take the initiative, to influence, to inspire and to engage the best in yourself and those around you.

Appreciative Leadership is based on (1) an appreciative approach to personal and organizational life, (2) self awareness, (3) self-management, particularly in difficult communication situations, and (4) on knowing what to say and do to inspire others to serve the highest good in every situation and to take responsibility for their actions.

Heart of the Matter offers the following components to learning Appreciative Leadership:

  • Appreciative Inquiry - a two day process designed to discover the most engaging and empowering approach for self and organizational change.
  • Self-Awareness for Appreciative and Effective Communication - a two day workshop built around the MBTI and LSI inventories. Locate your energy for change.
  • Self-Managed Communication - a two day workshop that is based on self-awareness and teaches the skills of D.I.A.L.O.G.U.E. for creating and sustaining respectful, appreciative relationships.
  • Maximizing Engagement - a two day workshop that provides Appreciative Leaders practical skills that help individuals and teams become self-directed and responsible.
